Veteran's Memorial Paver
A 6" x 12", 12"x 12" or 24"x 12" Granite Paver may be purchased for $50, $100, or $200 respectively, to commemorate any veteran. The paver will be placed along the walkway in the ground around the new and the renovated Veteran's Monuments. Please contact the Town Office or the Veteran's Memorial Board for an application. Machias Community Build make custom-built insulating window inserts to help battle drafty/leaky windows. Lunch served. Anyone receiving inserts is asked to sign up for a 4-hour shift per 3 to 5 inserts and volunteers work together to assemble the inserts. They are offered at a low cost;. Inserts are made from pine, polyolefin plastic with weather taping and foam around the outside to create a seal within the frame. There are still spots available.
